Barely usable
Slack is generally quite good from a web browser.
The iOS client on the other hand is extremely buggy, and with each release, it seems to get worse and worse. I am using an iPhone 6, so theres very little in the way of hardware/bitrot excuses. There are tonnes of graphical glitches and broken features, for example:
* Reactions sometimes work, sometimes they disappear.
* The keyboard gets stuck rendering half the screen empty (amusing to see iOS clipping code in action)
* With the half-baked addition of threads, a lot of things break further. Why can I "start a thread" on an image (which silently doesnt do anything), whereas on the web browser it shows up as "leave a comment"?
* Slack for iOS seems to be whimsical and flakey in registering messages as being unread, or read.
I enjoy using slack, just not on iOS. I give it one star because Slack is good, and one because at least the app sort of works some of the time. Enough that its still installed. If that meets the Slack developers expectations, congratulations to team mediocre! :disappointed:
